The Finished Work of Christ

The Finished Work of ChristApr 19, '06 6:14 PM

The Finished Work of Christ

Is the work that Jesus Christ our Lord had done on the cross was complete?
Yes! Yes! and Yes!
The answer is Yes! and Amen!.

In the new covenant, all our sins past, present and future everything has been taken away and paid by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross.

Those forgiven much will love much. All are forgiven much!

Do you still want to sin purposely after knowing how much Jesus Christ paid the price for you on the cross?

The Grace of God is NOT CHEAP and is PAID by our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross. Is that really Good News for us in Christ Jesus?

God is justly to say that I will remember no more all their sins and lawless deeds because of what Jesus Christ done for us on the cross! (Hebrews 8:12-13, Hebrews 10:16-18)

Hebrews 10:10 - By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

However, here and there we have the probability to fall into sinful deeds and actions (verbs) yet we are sealed in the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and as we come to the throne of grace and mercy (Hebrew 4:16) to be cleanse by Jesus blood as we admit sincerely and honestly to Jesus Christ our Lord.

Therefore there is no more condemnation in Christ Jesus. (Romans 8:1)

Victorious Christian lifestyle is to be more Jesus-consciousness rather than sin-consciousness. When we are sin-consciousness is like insulting the work that Jesus done for us on the cross is not perfect, not good enough, not complete...

So are we to be developing more Jesus-consciousness rather than sin-consciousness?

We are not perfect and from time to time, human indeed have the tendency to become sin-consciousness. Therefore we can come and dwells and stay in Our loving and gracious Lord Jesus and stay there and rest in His love for there is no more condemnation in Christ Jesus. Thank the Lord for His grace His mercy.

Jesus has taken off all our Sin (nouns) - guilt, condemnation, the bondage of death, poverty, sickness, everything on the cross and rose up from death and sited at the right hand of the Father.

However, since we are living in this fallen world and fallen body that are sinful in nature. There is a tendency for human to be sin-consciousness.

The antidote to Sin is the Grace of God. What is Grace? Grace is unmerited and undeserved favor of God. Is no longer human effort and actually NOTHING we can do or trying to do by our own human effort to earn it because all have been done for us on the cross.

What we actually can do is believing in what Jesus have done for us is completed and is already finished on the cross. As we can see from John 19:30, Jesus say "It is Finished" and also in John 17:4.

It is indeed the goodness of God that lead us to repentance.

Repentance in Greek is Metanoeo,
meaning to change one's mind and purpose, as the result of after knowledge.
This verb, with the cognate noun _metanoia_, is used of true repentance, a
change of mind and purpose and life, to which remission of sin is promised.

The more we understand The Finished Work of Christ and behold of Jesus more and more in His grace and mercy. We are actually repenting unconsciously and more and more in love with Jesus.

That is the Power of the Amazing Grace of God.

Hebrew 10:2 - For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshippers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins.

Praise Jesus our Lord for The Finished Work that He has done for us 2000 years ago. Is already done completely on the CROSS!

John 17:4 - I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.

Jesus Christ come from the Father and become human being (the flesh) and walk like human being on Earth and choose to died on the cross for the remission and redemption of sin for us. (John 1:14)

John 1:16-17 - And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:17-19
For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as through one man's offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man's righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man's obedience many will be made righteous.

Roman 5:20-21
Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, so that as in reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

What we are to do is to believe in what Jesus done for us and to know His loveliness His righteousness His holiness. To know Jesus Christ our Lord more and more is to know the Father. (John 14:6-11)

Ephesians 6:23 - Peace to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

Scripture Study: Hebrews 8, 9,10

Love in Christ Jesus.

If you would like to receive all that Jesus has done for you and make Him your Lord and Saviour, please say this prayer.

Lord Jesus, thank you for loving me and dying for me on the cross. Your precious blood washes me clean of every sin. You are my Lord, my Saviour and my God, now and forever. I believe that You rose from the dead and that You are alive today. God, You are my Father and I am Your child because of Jesus Christ. Thank you for filling my heart with Your peace and joy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
